Dear Brew mates,

It is with a heavy heart that due to the current economic climate and business pressures unforeseen by the directors, Two Mates Brewing decided to close their varsity lakes venue.

From the flood disaster of 2022, the two mates sought opportunities to sustain their business and after consideration committed to giving the back corridor of the Gold Coast region something different.

We had hoped and saw the potential in Varsity Lakes with its business precinct and residential community.

Sadly, the reality has been that the venture did not realise the expected support and patronage available and with the mates not living in the region, it made the task of keeping this operation open difficult. This has taken its toll on the venue and overall business.

To this end, we would like to thank Varsity Lakes businesses and residents for their custom during the 12 months of operation.

We would however like to assure that two mates are well alive and will continue through its south Lismore production house, distributing through its wholesale channels and servicing our brew mates through the taphouse.

We extend our appreciation to all our supporters for your continued support. Please stay up to date on our journey as we continue to navigate through the challenges past and current.

All the very best and please remember – LIVE LAUGH LEARN

Grant and Andrew
